What’s a plug-in wiring harness?
Unlike a patch harness, a plug-in wiring harness is a complete replacement for the engine wiring, see the diagram below for the 98/99 Glanza V, highlighted in green. This harness seamlessly connects to the engine bay fusebox and interior body connectors (1/2/3, depending on your year/country/engine). Most factory functions are retained; details on what stays and what doesn’t are further explained below. The harness doesn’t include a new battery cable, so you’ll need to strip this from your existing wiring (check out the video at the bottom of this page for a guide). However, we’re considering offering this in the future.
Is your build ever evolving? This wiring harness allows easy changes to injectors, coils, and additional features as required.
This harness uses sub harnesses with Deutsch/Amphenol DTM/ATM plugs for injectors, coils and additional features so you can change what you need to when you need to. We also supply the pinouts for these connectors so any competent wiring DIYer can make the changes themselves!
I don’t see any options for fuel/oil pressure sensors or other features, can these be added?
Yes! We include 2 breakout connectors for this purpose, one in the engine bay and another in the interior. Because everyone’s build is different, we decided the best approach would be a modular harness. This means everyone has the same main harness, which keeps costs low, and people can then choose to have whatever extra features they would like. To order custom additions, please get in touch!
